Use your vegetable scraps to make your own broth!
Servings: 5 quarts
- 5 cups vegetable scraps one gallon bag
- 2-3 bay leaves
- Salt and pepper
- 5 quarts water
Place the scraps and bay leaves In the largest stock pot available. Fill the pot with water.
Bring to a boil. Add a teaspoon of salt and some pepper. Reduce heat and simmer for one hour. Turn off heat and allow liquid to cool.
Strain solids out of broth using a mesh strainer.
Portion into containers and freeze for future use.
