Firecracker Margarita

Blue curacao and tequila combine to make a fun and festive patriotic margarita!

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1 ounce blue curaçao
  • Sparkling water lemon-lime or lemonade flavor
  • ice
  • Optional: red sugar for rim

Instructions

  • Prepare margarita glass by wetting the rim in water or agave syrup, then dipping in red sanding sugar.

  • Fill a cocktail shaker at least halfway with ice. Add tequila, blue curaçao, and lime juice. Cover and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
    2 ounces tequila, 1 ounce blue curaçao, ice, 1 ounce lime juice
  • Strain into prepared glass. Top with enough sparkling water to fill the glass.
