RACHEL SANDWICH  (TURKEY REUBEN)

ITS A LIGHTER VERSION OF THE BELOVED REUBEN SANDWICH!

REPLACE CORNED BEEF WITH TURKEY AND COLESLAW IN PLACE OF SAUERKRAUT FOR A DELICIOUS VARIATION!

INGREDIENTS

– Sauerkraut or coleslaw – Rye bread – Swiss Cheese – Turkey (deli slices) - Thousand Island Dressing

Drain the sauerkraut, if using.

Begin building the sandwich by starting with the cheese.

Add turkey slices on top of the cheese. Generously spread Thousand Island dressing on the other piece of bread.

Add coleslaw on top of the turkey, then flip the bread with dressing over it to make the sandwich.

You can use sauerkraut and/or Russian salad dressing if you prefer. Make it your own!

Butter the top surface of bread well.

Place buttered side down on the hot griddle, then butter the exposed bread.

Cook 2 to 3 minutes per side, until lightly toasted and heated through.

Cut in half to serve!
