Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons taco seasoning 1 packet
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Mex, Cheddar-Jack, etc

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 2 to 3-quart baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
  • In a large skillet on medium heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through and evenly browned. Add the taco seasoning and salsa. Stir to mix.

  • Add the cream cheese and refried beans and continue heating, stirring frequently, until heated through and the mixture is smooth. Turn off the heat.

  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and top with the shredded cheese.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until the mixture is hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted on top.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.

Notes

To serve in a slow cooker, mix all ingredients in the skillet per instructions. Turn off the heat, stir in the cheese, and transfer to a slow cooker. Use the low setting on your slow cooker to melt the cheese and keep the dip warm.
