Ingredients

  • 8 ounce Crescent roll dough one can, 8 rolls
  • 12 to 14 oz Lil Smokies cocktail sausages

Instructions

  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles, using the perforations in the dough. Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut each triangle lengthwise into thirds, forming very long and thin triangles.
    8 ounce Crescent roll dough
  • Place a sausage at the slightly wider edge of the dough and roll it all the way up the length, wrapping the dough around the sausage.
12 to 14 oz Lil Smokies
  • Place each wrapped sausage on a prepared baking sheet (parchment paper works well), leaving a little space in between to allow for expansion while baking.
  • Bake at 375°F for 12 to 15 minutes, until the dough is cooked through and golden brown.
  • Serve with ketchup, mustard, or your preferred dipping sauce!

Notes

You can wrap other small items in with the sausage before rolling for a variation. You can also brush a little egg white over the tops and sprinkle on seasoning before baking for a nicer finish and extra flavor. My favorite combination: tuck a tiny dill pickle in with the sausage, brush the dough with egg wash, and sprinkle Everything Bagel Seasoning on top before baking. Dip in yellow mustard.
