    Greek Yogurt Peanut Butter Dip

Today I've made another super-easy dip to help round out your appetizer buffet. Like my Heath Bar Dip, this one is a sweet highlight for apple slices. It combines Greek yogurt with peanut butter so you can feel like you're having something a little healthy among all the "heavier" appetizers out there.

    Ingredients

You probably think you know this already from the name, right? Well, there are actually 3 ingredients needed:

    • Greek yogurt (vanilla flavored)
    • Peanut butter (creamy)
    • Honey
Ingredients: honey, Greek yogurt with peanut butter

The first time I made this, it was based upon a description my daughter gave me. It is her 5-year-old's favorite item at an area restaurant. I made it with just yogurt and peanut butter. It was, in my opinion, good-but-could-be-better.

The addition of a little honey makes the difference. The honey enhances the sweetness without making it "too much."

How to make this Greek yogurt with peanut butter dip

With only 3 ingredients, you know it can't be hard right?

    Basically, measure and mix.

Yes, that's it. No heating, microwaving, double boiling or baking. Nothing has to be brought to room temperature, assuming your peanut butter and honey are already there. Just stir everything together until smooth, and serve.

    Variations and serving ideas

The easiest variation with this dip is for the yogurt. I have used both plain and vanilla yogurt with success. I have also used non-dairy Greek yogurt made from almond milk which tasted exactly like the real yogurt version, so if you are avoiding dairy this will be a good alternative for you!

Vegans: in addition to the yogurt substitution above, you'll want to swap out the honey. Try agave syrup. I haven't tried this yet but I think it will work pretty well with these flavors.

    Serving ideas

I serve this with apple slices, and it would work with other cut up fruit. But it could also be served with graham crackers, cookies (think Nilla Wafers - yum!) or maybe even pretzels. Try different combinations and see which is your favorite!

I love how simple but brings out the best flavor this dip is. And with just 3 ingredients, I will have this on repeat often.

I love the simplicity of this snack. So many great ingredients and such a complete little meal to fit in when you are in a rush. The peanut butter with just the right amount of protein with the creaminess of the yoghurt and the crispness of the apples is a match made in snack heaven.
