Avocado Dip is a game day favorite
Today, I have another favorite dip for football Sundays: Avocado Dip. I found this years ago at togetherasafamily.com and it was ❤️ at first sight .
The original version starts with 6 avocados and makes a ton of dip. My version cuts this in half as I’m typically feeding two.
If you want enough for a crowd, go ahead and double everything.
Only 5 ingredients needed
The beauty of this dip is that it only takes 5 ingredients, comes together quickly and requires no cooking.
And I like dipping into it right away (Okay, full disclosure: the author states it tastes better after an hour or two. I don’t think I’ve ever been patient enough to wait. LOL).
This creamy, delicious recipe produces a bowl full of avocado goodness. So tasty! Just think: With healthy fats and over 20 vitamins and minerals, nutrient-rich avocados make this a guilt-free dip!
Salsa verde ties the Avocado Dip together
The creaminess comes from bottled salsa verde. The recipe specifies 4 oz but it does not need to be a precise measurement. I usually buy the Taco Bell brand in a 7.5 oz bottle, eyeball half the bottle and save the rest for the next batch.

Because there is always another batch.
Added benefit: The salsa helps slow the inevitable “browning” of the avocado, so much so that the dip is still good the next day (that is, if you have any left over).
Also fantastic as a lettuce wrap
And for anyone worried about the carbs in the chips, I decided tried this as a lettuce wrap. LOVED it!
Ohmygoodness, this just became a totally healthy lunch! I believe that takes away all the unhealthy carbs! This might even be worth negative guilt points. Like, eating this wipes out the unhealthy choices you made this week.
Ok, maybe not - but worth a try!! 😀
I absolutely guarantee, if you give this avocado dip a try you will NOT be sorry!!
