I wanted something relatively simple, but entertaining for the holiday, something that stands out, like - what else for July Fourth? - red, white and blue Vodka Slush!

How to make Red White and Blue Vodka Slush

I first thought of using three different beverages but quickly realized that the logistics were terrible: Make big pitchers and store them in the fridge? Who has that kind of room? I mean, we need some food at this gathering too, right?

So, I decided to use a Vodka-Lemonade slush recipe as a starting point.

Making these red, white or blue works like this:

    • Red: fill the glass ¾ full with slush and then fill the glass with cranberry juice
    • White: Fill the glass ¾ full with slush and then fill the glass with WHITE cranberry juice
    • Blue: Fill the glass ½ full with slush. Add a shot of blue curacao, then fill with white cranberry juice

Notice that for the blue part, I used less slush because using blue curacao adds more alcohol. Just trying to keep things even. 😃

    A fun patriotic drink

Making red white and blue vodka slush is super fun - and easy! The slush is made up the day before and left to freeze and all that is needed the next day are two different types of cranberry juice, plus blue curacao. Let people try each kind and see what ends up being the favorite. Mix the cranberry with curacao and make purple. Just have fun with it!

Can you guess which one was my favorite???
