Today I bring you a recipe that is fast, easy and delicious: Nutella Fudge. It requires only 3 ingredients and a couple minutes of microwave and stirring time. It's incredibly simple to make and truly delicious. You will love it!
Is this like old-fashioned fudge?
This was going to be the year. The year when I figured out how to make old-fashioned Christmas fudge, like my mom used to make. It was always so good, and a perfect addition to a tray of holiday sweets. You know what? Didn't happen.
In my defense, it's a bigger challenge than you'd think. Yes, I know. Covid, etc..blah blah. But that's not the problem here. You see, my mom's recipe boxes contain no fewer than 20, yes I said TWENTY different recipes for fudge. It may take the rest of my life to figure out which one was her actual go-to.
In the meantime, we all need a delicious shortcut.

Ingredients needed
As I said earlier, this is a 3-ingredient recipe. Gotta love it. Here they are:
- Chocolate chips (see variations below)
- Nutella
- Sweetened condensed milk
How to make this Nutella fudge
Start with the chocolate chips. Pour into a bowl and microwave for a minute. Try to stir, which probably won't work yet. Microwave for 30 seconds and stir again. Keep repeating until the chips have melted enough to stir completely smooth. I used miniature chocolate chips because they melt so quickly. So for me, only 1 minute and 30 seconds of microwave time was required. Regular sized chocolate chips might take another zap.
Once the chips are completely melted, stir in the Nutella and the sweetened condensed milk. Stir very well to combine fully. Then, pour into a parchment paper-lined pan.
Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours to fully set before cutting.

The result? A smooth, creamy and oh so delicious fudge.
The Nutella taste is barely there, so much so that even The Carnivore didn't notice it. (What can I say, he's not a Nutella fan)
Nutella fudge variations
As mentioned, I use mini chocolate chips. Regular chips work fine, and just will need a little more microwave time.
Instead of semi-sweet chips, you could try milk chocolate chips. This will yield a sweeter fudge, which many prefer.
Conversely, dark chocolate lovers might want to try this with dark chocolate chips. All according to your personal taste.
What about nuts? I think walnuts are the classic choice for fudge, but I am considering using roasted hazelnuts in my next batch. I think either version will be amazing!
