Football season means game day every single Sunday for me, from the first kickoff in September all the way through the Super Bowl. Most Sundays it's just the hubs and me on the couch, but I keep enough options around that this spread works just as well when the house fills up for a bigger game.
I bleed green and gold for the Packers, though I try not to hold it against anyone who's cheering for someone else (mostly). No matter who you're rooting for, we can all agree that good food is half the reason to tune in.
Here's everything I turn to, dip by dip and bite by bite, whether it's a quiet Sunday for two or a house full of people yelling at the TV.

Tex-Mex Staples
These are the dips and bites that disappear first at my house. Queso, guacamole, and a good taco dip cover pretty much every base, whether folks want something spicy or mild. Grab a bag of tortilla chips and you're set for the whole first half.

Hot & Baked Dips
When it's cold out and the oven's already on, these are the dips worth the wait. They come out bubbly and rich, the kind you keep going back to refill your plate for. Reuben Dip in particular has become a regular request from my crowd.

Easy Make-Ahead Cold Dips
Not every dip needs the oven, and these three prove it. Make them the night before and you've got one less thing to juggle on game day. They hold up just fine in the fridge until kickoff.

Hearty Party Bites & Sliders
This is where things get a little more filling, for whenever a chip and dip isn't going to cut it. Sliders, wings, and a batch of meatballs simmering in the crockpot mean nobody leaves hungry. A few of these are hearty enough to earn a spot at holiday gatherings too, not just game day.

Quick Finger Foods & Snacks
These are the easy, grab-and-go bites for when you want variety without a lot of fuss. A little of everything here: cheesy, crunchy, and a few finger foods that are just fun to eat while you watch. Good for filling out a bigger spread.

Sweet Treats
Game day isn't only about salty snacks, at least not in my house. These sweets are easy to set out alongside everything else, and they give people a reason to come back to the table after the game's already decided. My family never seems to mind having dessert ready early.

No matter how the season goes for your team, I hope this list gives you plenty to work with come Sunday. (or Saturday . . Monday . . any day!) Mix and match whatever fits your crowd, whether that's just the two of you or a house full of people. And if Sunday goes into overtime, at least the snacks already have you covered.
