Why I Love This Fruit Dip With Cream Cheese

Easy and delicious: my favorite combination!

Once the cream cheese is at room temperature, it only takes 5 minutes or less to mix the ingredients together.

And the result is a smooth, creamy, caramel-y dip, delicious on just about any fresh fruit. It's ready to eat right away, no need to wait before serving.

Serving this dip with a fresh fruit platter gives everyone choices: plain fresh fruit, or fruit with something "extra". It's a win-win for everyone!

    Cream Cheese Fruit Dip Ingredients

ingredients: cream cheese, brown sugar, and vanilla.
    • Cream cheese: if you'd like to make this dip a little healthier, use a low-fat cream cheese.
    • Brown sugar
    • Vanilla extract

How to Make Fruit Dip With Cream Cheese

The only preparation required is to let the cream cheese warm to room temperature. Which is of course necessary whenever you want to mix it with something else.

Mix that cream cheese with brown sugar and a little vanilla. I use a hand mixer to ensure it is evenly mixed and perfectly smooth.

combined dip in a mixing bowl.

And voilà! The fruit dip is ready to serve!

    • For a smoother chocolate dip, add some cocoa powder to the mix
    • Sweeten with honey instead of brown sugar for a natural sweetness
    • Swirl in a few spoonfuls of jam for a sweet and colorful surprise
    • Mix in a little vanilla yogurt for a slightly lighter dip with a hint of vanilla taste

Cream Cheese Fruit Dip Serving Suggestions

Your serving options? So much fruit to choose from! Strawberries, grapes, bananas. Apple slices - so yummy with that hint of caramel flavor! I also went a little tropical with fresh pineapple and sliced mango.

But don't limit yourself to just fruit. Graham crackers, Nilla wafers, and animal crackers can add even more variety to the selection.

The beauty of a fruit tray is you can have something to please every palate!
